Set GPRS parameters: Currently, there are differing varieties of mobile phones with GPRS functions, and most of them can gain access to the Internet at the press of a key. If your mobile phone doesn't have “one key” access, you can follow these simple steps to make sure GPRS is set correctly:
APN implication: APN (Access Point Name) is used to mark the service type of GPRS: CMWAP (access to WAP mobile internet via GPRS) or CMNET (access to services other than WAP, such as World Wide Web internet access).
Connection: choose GPRS
Connection 1: APN is CMNET; leave client name and password empty—mainly used for Internet access or Java downloads.
Connection 2: APN is CMWAP; leave client name and password empty—mainly used to get access to Monternet WAP.
Other General Settings: setting other parameters in mobile phones or PCs: PC settings for access to the Internet, POP and SMTP for Email, WAP settings similar to that of the mobile phone.
Examples of mobile phone settings: NOKIA6610、6100、7200、7250
